Tim Washburn Joins Sideline Power as the New Vice President of Sales: A Visionary Leader
Sideline Power, a trailblazing force in sports communication technology, proudly welcomes Tim Washburn as the newest member of its leadership team. Tim's appointment as the Vice President of Sales marks a strategic move for Sideline Power, bringing in a seasoned professional with a rich background and a history of success across various industries.
A native of Ashland, Tim Washburn's journey is one rooted in a passion for effective communication and community engagement. Beyond his professional achievements, Tim values family and finds joy in spending time with his wife, Jenny, and their children Maddie (24), Hunter (22), and Aidan (18).
Educated at the University of Nebraska, Tim graduated in May 1991 with a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast-Journalism, complemented by minors in History and Film. This foundation laid the groundwork for a career marked by a commitment to excellence.
Tim's professional career began in 1989 at KLIN Radio, where he not only co-hosted a five-night-a-week sports talk show but also showcased his expertise in a sports play-by-play. This early success demonstrated Tim's natural ability to connect with audiences.
Over the years, Tim's career evolved through diverse roles, showcasing his adaptability and leadership skills. He served as the News Director at KAWL Radio from 1991 to 1992 and contributed to Westwood One Radio in Washington D.C. from 1992 to 1993. Tim transitioned into television sales at KOLN/KGIN TV from 1993 to 1994.
In 1994, Tim embarked on a successful journey in pharmaceutical sales, achieving excellence from 1994 to 1999. His outstanding performance led to a well-deserved promotion to Sales Manager, a role he held from 1999 to 2010.
From 2010 to 2020, Tim embraced entrepreneurship as the owner of Express Employment, owning two thriving locations. His entrepreneurial spirit and leadership during this period showcased his ability to navigate challenges and drive business success.
