NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Regular Meeting of the Greenwood Board of Trustees will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the E.L. McDonald Community Center, 619 Main Street, Greenwood, Nebraska. Said meeting is open and the public is encouraged to attend. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to adjourn to Executive Session per State Statute 84-1410. The open meetings act is posted in the meeting room for the public to view.

Job Opening - Part Time Office Manager

American Lutheran Church is a vibrant, growing faith community in Ashland, Nebraska. We are looking for a qualified individual to join us in ministry, as our office manager.
To oversee and maintain the daily operations of the church office, in a friendly, efficient, and organized manner.
1. Minimum education requirement of high school diploma.
Other training and experience preferred, such as: business
school training, college credits, or college degree, church office
or other work experience.
2. Energy, enthusiasm, and good human relations skills.
3. Good written and oral communication skills.
4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Good computer skills including spreadsheets
and word processing (using Mac).
1. Be present in the church office Mon- Fri from 8am - 12pm.
2. Organize the operations of the church office.
3. Perform office administration duties including:
production of mailings, bulletins, newsletters, and website;
filing, answering phone, preparation of annual reports,
maintain membership records, routine correspondence,
and similar duties as may arise or be assigned.
4. Perform bookkeeping duties including preparation of bills
to be paid, communication with the church treasurer, recording
income and expenses in financial record keeping software.
Compensation & Evaluation
Compensation is negotiable based on qualifications and experience. Upon hiring, the office manager shall have a 60 day review with the pastor as an opportunity for both the office manager and the pastor to formally express their perspectives on the operations of the office. The office manager shall have an annual written evaluation of his/her responsibilities with the pastor.

Greenblatt & Seay's Schoolhouse Performance Series features a Harmonica Workshop on Sunday April 9th at 2:30, in the Old Avoca, Nebraska Schoolhouse. David Seay will provide an introduction to the 10 hole diatonic harmonica in the key of C Major. Each adult and student admission includes a free harmonica for those 6 years old or older. The workshop will be downstairs, and followed by light refreshments, and a chance to chat and even jam with Greenblatt & Seay. David Seay is a Master Artist with the Nebraska Arts Council's Artist-in-the-Schools program, and participates in Humanities Nebraska's Speakers Bureau.
Avoca is in southern Cass County, Nebraska, on the 13 C Spur, one mile south of Highway 34.

The historic Old Avoca Schoolhouse was built in 1925, and has been the home of the Schoolhouse Performance Series since 1990. Music lessons, workshops, fiddle camps, and field trips are offered by Schoolhouse residents, Greenblatt & Seay, and are available by appointment.
